When your make a sprite there should be an option where you can set how big you want the sprite.

Example:
480 x 360

But the main purpose ohf this option is to make sprites bigger then the screen like
for example:
2400 x 360

It would be handy on scroll projects.

Edit: Im guessing that this suggestion has been posted thousands of times.
