You can't basically. You may be able to ask a moderator to change your username for you, or you could create a new account.

It really wouldn't for me. I like m44's projects don't you? What if he changed his naem to something forgettable or something? Like M44-55-1895 or something, and you wanted to search for it?

If it is on really high demand: Have a permanent name and an editable name that can be changed once and has to be approved by the Scratch Team.
