What scripts do you make for a decent X,Y Scroller and a runspd?

Basically what a the title says, I was trying to make an engine for Sonic Run, with x and y scrolling looking at different projects and their scripts, and gave Sonic a runspd so he can go slow then medium speed, then fast but it messed it all up! The Y Scrolling didn't work before I even added the runspd. SO I need the scripts for a X and Y scroller along with runspd. AND The scripts have to react to the platforms/terrains. Please and Thank You!!!
