Problems Opening Scratch
I have the latest macbook, and whenever I tried to open scratch, it asks me to select a file to open, and all the files are grayed out. This problem isn't related to parental controls because I have tried removing them, but the same problem occurred. Please advise.

It sounds like the Scratch installation may be defective...I'd try reinstalling and see if that helps at all.
