I've been having some problems with variables that nobody else seems to get. First, when I show a variable, I save, then quit, when I reopen the variable moves to the top left corner of the screen. Also, if I make one shown variable a slider, one a large display, and one a normal display, when I reopen the project it changes all of the variables to one display. CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENING? AND WHY IT ONLY HAPPENS TO ME???
P.S. Please play my first project, that was where I mainly found this problem: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/justbanana/515704

It's a well-known bug, actually. It should be fixed for version 1.4.
In the meantime, try this: before you save the project, hide the variable. Then, make a script that says "when green flag clicked, show variable". It should stay how you last left it (it works for me).

I'm moving this to "Troubleshooting".

only offline it works but online i screws up everything because it doesn't show online if you use hide and show variables
Really? Because I do it all the time in my projects and haven't had a problem.
Check this project, for example:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/BoltBait/516292
It hides and shows variables all the time. It works very well.
The real key is this: You must have ALL variables visible when you save the project. Then in the "When green flag pressed" hide all the variables you don't want showing at that time.
