Resolution problems

My son uses scratch on his laptop, but his resolution is a mere 1024x600 (wide screen). As a result, the window is cut off, and unfortunately there is no scroll bar for the main window. I was hoping you might have a workaround / fix for this. Unfortunately his little notebook hasn't got the vram for an extended screen or anything.

Thanks.

Re: Resolution problems

Well what I do to see scratch fully is use the resolution 1024 x 768 Pixels. When I used to use 800 x 600 alot of scratch was cut.If the notebook doesn't have enough ram to switch display screen resolution I think it will be impossible to see scratch fully.

Re: Resolution problems

All that really needs to be done is a scrollbar added to the main window - this would allow it to run on smaller notebooks.

Version 1.4 (currently in Beta) almost certainly will have features to allow it to work on smaller screens.  I'm not sure of the release date.  It was originally going to be May 16 but I think it has been pushed out some.

Is there any way to download Scratch 1.4 how it is now?I really want to see it.

Not yet unfortunately, but someone uploaded a video on Youtube that shows some of the updates (you can't really read what the new blocks are yet).

I just hope this isn't fake. I have no idea where the uploader got it.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
