Saving to our Server

Our students all have their own file, but it is located on our network.  The pathway is pretty complicated on the best of days, but we are unable to access it through the save function of Scratch.  Up to now, I have been asking my students to save to the desktop, open their network folder, and drag-and-drop.  They then need to delete the file from their desktops, as we allow no one to save to the desktop or to My Documents at our school.  It is a royal pain for our 3rd and 4th graders.  The older kids seem to understand...sometimes.  Is there a plan to allow Scratch to recognize a server as a location to which a student might save?

Re: Saving to our Server

I have heard that improvements to the flexibility of the Save function are being incorporated in 1.4.  Unfortunately, I do not have any details at this time.
