Re: Learn Chinese!

Minor correction on the Japanese.

The standard spelling (in Romaji) of the formal form of "thank you" is
    "arigato gozaimasu"
The final "u" is not pronounced, and the Japanese "r" sound is close to an "l" sound.

"Domo arigato" is a slightly less formal way of saying "thank you".

"Arigato" is still less formal.

"Domo" is very informal.

Figuring out the correct level of formality to use in Japanese is quite difficult.

Yes I see. This is a "Learn Chinese" forum. I'm glad you know Japanese. Are you interested in learning something in Chinese?

Re: Learn Chinese!

HopeD, if you are going to run a thread of the forum that is off-topic (not about Scratch), you can't get too upset about it drifting to other off-topic subjects.

Answering S_Uchiha, I took courses in Japanese 20 years ago.  I have since forgotten almost all my Japanese, though I still remember some German, which I took over 35 years ago.  Learn languages when you are very young and use them frequently, if you wish to become and remain multi-lingual.

I'm sorry. But at least Japanese has to do something with Chinese. (Even though they're both kinda far apart.)

Oh! I didn't know that you were asking for a translation of Llama! Well, I don't know that but I guess you've got the right translation. I don't know because I'm not familiar with Llamas.

The big one is for the Soldiers or the community or somthing. the smaller ones are like Farmers, something and something. I'm not really sure. I just know that they've got they're own meaning. maybe google will know!

No, I'm actually Chinese. Taiwanese is the formal way. Are you German?
