Link In Your Games?

Is there a way to put a link to a website in your game?

Hi xyxzergames, that feature is coming in one of the next versions.

Re: Link In Your Games?

This sounds like it could be a serious security hole.  Acrobat Reader suddenly got dangerous when they included javascript.  Don't make scratch be a virus or spam entry point!

Re: Link In Your Games?

Any time you allow an applet or program to start another program (as you would need to have an active link), you lose the ability to control what actions happen.  You now have to trust not only the program, but whatever browser gets started.  A number of schools would be very reluctant to allow kids to click on random URLs.

Re: Link In Your Games?

Kevin_Karplus has an extremely valid point, but if you disabled any active links (I believe there is a way to do this on some forums and other things) you would be fine unless someone who didn't know anything about internet security clicked on anything on those pages!
Anyways,
Thanks
Milan
