Ah - and the reasoning was not the code interpreter. Turns out Lightnin's reasoning from a while ago was correct: the issue is downloading the Scratch projects.

The reasoning I've had this whole time.

Re: Scratch on portable devices...

how about a scratch DSiWare? you could make projects on your DSi, save them to your SD card/send them to your computer and finish and upload them on your computer! I think it's a great idea, but it would probably be really hard to program...

This paragraph has odd things to it. It looks a normal paragraph, but this is not a normal paragraph, if you know what is funny about it, post your thought in a location so that I will find it. if you think that it's normal, look at my writing! You might think it's normal, if you think coaching will aid you, try that! But not many humans will find odd things about this paragraph.

Re: Scratch on portable devices...

Well, the Dsi doesn't support Java, yet i would love to go on Scratch for answering things on forums and commentating on games.

Which brings me to another theory, i suggest we focus a bit more on the scialising aspect (I.e personal messaging or blogs), I'm on the dsi right now and i know a brilliant website which uses javascript (Yet the dsi doesn't support Java... weird /:L), it's called www.dsipaint.com, sorry i can't send a link, i'm still new and special  lol   big_smile  Hope i helped! ^.^ ♪

Re: Scratch on portable devices...

i think that it should have a game on the ds where you make projects involving the touch pad. if you have a dsi, you can play other people's projects on the ds and upload your own! That would be good...  smile

Re: Scratch on portable devices...

I can port the java player to android
For the ds/ds lite/dsi(xl) can i port too but it`s not a good quality.

It not willing to come to the android market/ dsi  shop
For dsi you wi`ll need a flash cart capable of homebrew(the most are)
For android you need to install a apk file(with google you can see how to install apk)

Re: Scratch on portable devices...

"for android you need to install a apk file"

Does this mean you've actually installed Scratch on an Android phone? or that it is just possible in theory?  If you've actually gotten Scratch to work on an Android, could you tell me which model?  I am shopping for a new phone this month, and considering Androids.

Thanks!

Seriously! Scratch on the DSi or the Iphone would be great!

If we had no Halo, we would have no FPS.
