thats a MMORPG, you would need a server to store all the info. which then you would need to link that up with a program like python, which can interact with scratch, and that would totaly slow scratch down. So Maybe stay with multiplayer games like DragonFable.

I HAVE IT!
I don't understand how to join a mesh though.
You type in the Host IP it shows it when you Host the Mesh:
Host
IP.IP.IP.IP.IP
Join:
IP.IP.IP.IP.IP
More detailed (Fake IPs I just made them up.):
Host
56.39.57.98.91
Join:
56.39.57.98.91

so... you could create a server, and use python to talk to scratch, and enter the server ip, and play off the server? Would that work? Maybe this should get moved to advanced topics now, we're kinda getting a bit off suggesting it, and more into, making it come real.
Offline
Um... No need for Python! You host the mesh it show's the IP then you open another BYOB and click join mesh then type in the IP that was shown on the Host then make it interactive with each other. I made this in half an hour: http://scratchconnections.wik.is/User:Magnie/Chat and it really works between two computers! I tested it. ^.^

i was meening if you were to have a MMORPG or just a Multiplayer game, with more than 2 people

Um... If you're smart enough, yes you could, but your computer will need to be MASSIVELY fast. MMOs would slow down everything on Scratch. I have an idea for a 3-5 player game. (Or unlimited. If what I'm thinking is correct.) I'll get started on a 3-5 Multiplayer game after I'm done with Home School. (I hope I don't go ballistic with Math. Then after that is Report thing...)

Iv played MMORPG and they didn't slow the computer down, but i see what you mean if its run in scratch, but maybe Emerald would be faster because its code, not blocks that have to be decoded. possible...
Offline
Well, that's another MMO but if it were in Scratch it's guaranteed to slow down. Emerald will take forever to make. xD But I could take some time to make a MMO in Python.

id say, lets stick to emerald, and making it, Anyway, i think we're getting off track

Probably right.

ok sorry, anyway, that was off topic, it may have been an opinion, but it was an inappropriately put opinion, now... lets get back on topic!

It's okay.
So... Multiplayer games... tell me if you make one!
Offline
It would be nice, but we can make Multiplayer games over the internet with Scratch now.

NetScratch was cancled, i tried out the beta, it kinda sucked... but as i said, if we had a server, if they have IP adress which i think they do, you could connect up with that, and play other people, i know iv suggest this before, but... is it possible?!
Offline
You could make a server in Scratch, but it would be complicated to have unlimited people go on, I can only do two people but I could do 5 but that would take forever to copy and paste and change broadcasts and add broadcasts. Forever
