Scratch-For a book club!

I'm teaching the book club how to use Scratch! Alot of them aren't really using there brain to find out which blocks to snap together to make it do something. But some of them really have, and figured things out! Do you know any methods I could teach them more? I've already showed them a few basics, but they barely know that a costume isn't two different sprites. I know it's insulting sounding but....It's true, if you're my book club viewing this I'm sorry... But I know they will find out somehow! That's why I need YOU'RE help. BTW, I'm not a teacher. I'm only in grade four, and 9. I think it's cool though, how I tought them to use Scratch to make games/animation based on books.

Long live Scratch!

Anyone has potential to do anything you know!I think you should start by giving them the scratch guides, then teach them how to build simple games such as Pong,A limited Platform,Pacman, and thing like that. Then you should set them free to create what they want.
