Speech

Most Windows OS'es can do speech. I would like to see the speech command. Even a simplified version of it would be nice.

Speech recognition would be nice too as a sensor.

Text-to-speech is built into the Mac OS, so should be relatively easy to access.  Doing it on linux may be harder.  Getting the java applet to handle text-to-speech may be a major headache, as the java applets generally do not give access to arbitrary features of the OS, in order to maintain some semblance of security. 

There are several java text-to-speech packages on the web, so if a working one can be found that is platform-independent and has appropriate licensing, it might not be too bad to do even in the java applet.
