Mutli Computer Play.

I may have found a way to pull it off for a battle game.
My system has two key parts.
1: A PRNG set to give the same numbers on both.
2: Call signs to transfer moves (Tell them over a chat client).
I will upload an example as soon as I work out some bugs.
Any Comments or Tips?

Re: Mutli Computer Play.

Any chat client will do. You tell them your move and they put it in for you on their end.

Oh so it isn't actually multi player play. You are basically telling you buddy what you are doing.

Re: Mutli Computer Play.

yeah. The hard part is the PRNG really. Because they need to:
1: Seem Random
2: Be the same on both ends.

Re: Mutli Computer Play.

That's not a bad idea, given how fast chat clients can be. It wouldn't be fast enough for twitch-type games, but for turn-based games it may work.

Re: Mutli Computer Play.

Yes, there are other ways. Scratch has a built in networking feature.
