Scratch Article

I am doing an article about scratch for my class's newspaper, is anyone interested in having an interview?

Here are the questions:
Why did you start using scratch?
How did you find scratch?
What block do you use most? (not including "when flag clicked")
What do you like about scratch?
What do you dis-like about scratch?
What kind of projects do you like?

Please at least a couple people answer.  big_smile

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Scratch Article

Why did you start using scratch? I consider myself creative, so i wanted to express myself in Scratch.
How did you find scratch? A friend on the internet.
What block do you use most? (not including "when flag clicked") Forever if.
What do you like about scratch? It makes programming fun and accesible to everyone.
What do you dis-like about scratch? Nothing about the program itself, though those cursed projects that are made only to increase the project count really get on my nerves.
What kind of projects do you like? I don't have a specific kind.

4. no syntax errors
5. No sprite duplcation, low efficiency, general lack of features

Re: Scratch Article

1. I wanted to make my own games and it was fun. I enjoy creating stuff and this is an easy program to do so.
2. Someone heard it from an MIT guy and then that person told me.  tongue
3. I would probably use the Brodcasts block alot, or the forever block. They both have alot of good use.
4. I like the fact that it is eady to use and has a great community. I enjoy playing a good flash game and then trying to remake it.
5. I wish that it would run alot faster. The fact that all of those projects with just a picture getting top loved gets on my nerves too.  tongue
6. I like games alot, anything that requires a little thinking, including tower defense games and RPG's. I just like games.

Hope this helps!

2 minute projects making front page  hmm  and the fact that its so slow
What kind of projects do you like?

Re: Scratch Article

Why did you start using scratch?

Because it's pretty easy to use, and to program with it.

How did you find scratch?

I found it on Google, while searching for a way of making games easily.

What block do you use most? (not including "when flag clicked")

Forever, If, and When key [ ] pressed (both "hat" and "diamond" forms).

What do you like about scratch?

Read first answer.

What do you dis-like about scratch?

It's a bit too limited, and you can't share projects with friends who don't have the program, or don't have Internet connection.

What kind of projects do you like?

Adventure, Action, Tycoons, RPGs and Platformers.
