mr. scientist        Focusing was cool, not enough content
wii play laser pong        Good splash screen and good concept...laggy and some glitches though
Scrolling for beginners        Creative presentation and good graphics. Somewhat short and simple but good.
3D wireframe lugger        Good model, but it would have been better to put in the 3D category.
add a powerup and pass it on        Interesting concept...it would be better if there was a goal, but the excellent choice of music is what boosted this project's rank.
One Day        The concept and idea of it was cool but the presentation was a little choppy. Try to add in some better transitions  smile
Flight Simulator        Good concept but it seemed monotonous. I have seen so many remakes of the original project, that it took away from it's ranking...
Shock The Old Man        ...the images where pixilated and the movement of  the shocker was to lateral.(acceleration friction etc would have greatly added to it) and the mans reaction to the shock was...plain.
Moon Fox        Creative...interesting use of the Fire Fox logo and music...not very complex though.
Classic Pong        The sound effects are fitting and the AI is not unbeatable(hooray!) its a little simple though. See if you can add in more levels missions etc. I realize that it is supposed to be "classic" but a few levels wouldn't hurt.  smile
Moon Pong    It seems that there are too many pongs. A stationary obstacle doesn't make a very challenging or menacing opponent.  smile
Roblox Adventure        The graphics are alright but the project itself is extremely simple...see if you can make the character move  smile  make it so that it is dependant upon which door side of the screen etc your  character is on to decide where it goes.
Compasses        Very cool visual effect. Simple but enthralling.
Pretty Picture        Very, Very cool visual effect. Its fun to watch too.
3D Pong        Might have been better in the 3D category but it doesn't relay completely on 3D concepts. A good rendition of pong. I like the paddles and how they interact with the ball. The music is...interesting...but not bad.
X-wing cockpit        Good starting concept...make it so the stars have actual movement and the stick rotates etc, etc.
Hot Wheels        The pictures aren’t too bad. The project itself is extremely simple though. Make the pictures transition  smile  didn't load online(bad for your score...)
Balloon Fight        Cool trailer...I’m not sure why the peanut butter and jelly song is in there at the end but the trailer had a decent run time and was entertaining
Asprin         hmm  I prefer to see  original work...this game isn't really challenging...a good start but I didn't need aspirin  wink
Red Dawg Arena        Interesting story. The animation wasn't really frilly and the story-line wasn't complex...but the basic concept was alright  smile
Miner        Good concept the speed setting definitely makes it more challenging in a good way. Good job! Your ranking could have been higher if there was good music.
Eat the Crabs[b]        Smooth game-play good graphics short but concise explanation and story. The music fit. All in all its pretty good  smile
[b]Space Adventure Platnum
Good concept but  you could add several things. 1.Smooth acceleration, music sound effects and better graphics(animated explosion) and add in goals for flaying around...add in weapons  smile
Pallet Drawing        I like the click-able palette, but there are many, many paint programs on scratch. Yours was unique...but not quite enough. Add some more really cool unique stuff in there!  smile
Cloo        The pauses in the project where a little long but the story-line was interesting and the animation was choppy but that gave it a stylistic feel...the showing of the variables was a little sloppy though,
Raining Cats         big_smile  raining cats and dogs to a new extreme! Addictive game-play(surprisingly) the graphics weren’t too good and it could have used music and sound effects but it was decent regardless. Good job.
Adopt Your own kitten        The concepts where good and the pictures where too, but they where badly cropped. Spend a little more time on removing the white and this would be excellent!
Pocket Tanks        It has good music!(good) The graphics aren’t the best the white background is sort of bland but the fundamental game-play is good.
Pokymon Battle        The cropping wasn't that good but the gamely was alright once you got used to it. You included music  smile (good) add in more bad guys to capture.  smile

Re: The 2nd Annual Scratch Awards

I finally did, sorry for the wiat...anyways, setting a deadline would help, setting a deadline and enforcing it(by getting a new judge) would probably eliminate this problem.

Re: The 2nd Annual Scratch Awards

I still think there should be an enforced judges deadline..and if they don't meet that, *kick* get a new judge. The awards would have to be two judging periods from the initial judging start date.

Agreed. This contest seems to have been lagging on much too long.  hmm

On another note: where is Hobbs anyway? It's almost as if he dropped off the face of the Scratch world.

it's seems that a lot of the good scrathers have been doing that lateley...such as cyclone103 or bluestribute. (actually blues reason is more depressing than cyclone's)

Is there any way I could be a judge? (Probably not, but I'm just wondering, and probably a lot of people are, and it's probably already been asked somewhere in this thread...  sad  )

Sorry to inform you but this thread ended several months ago. You are too late as the contest has also ended.
