Yeah, I have a project that is 9.53 Megs and although it uploaded online, it doesn't play there. It just sits loading forever. Any Ideas on how to fix it?

I would love to have larger project size, since it would allow me to release a game that I worked very hard on, and am unable to release. Another problem is lag. Whenever scripts are too big, or there are too many sprites, it lags horribly. Is there any way to fix this other than simplifying your scripts?

Probably, if you were to adjust the priority of the process that deals with your game. I'm just speculating here, I have no idea how you would do that or if it would work.

HI, I am making the most awesome project... COOL, I HAVE FINISHED IT, THIS WILL TOTALLY ROCK EVERYONES MIND OUT!... why is it taking so long to upload... TO BIG! arghh that sucks. please raise the size limit!
unable to upload, file might be too big, I am sick of the size limit.
I made a hotmail site where people upload there big files there http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/deatheater/187257 here's the details

I Know It's So Annoying!

I think the size limit should stay at 10 megs, it still takes a lnog time to load at 8-10 megs, but imangine 20 or even 30? If you have a project too big? Compress everything.

I think that the 10 mb limit is reasonable. I mean, archmage never goes above the limit and it doesn't take that much space to create a great game, only a graphically huge one.

Here's something you can look at refering the 10 meg size limit http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/deatheater/191116

I just have a tip!; You could do something else fun on your computer while it's uploading to the internet! But it might slow down your computer.

why not have 10mb if thats all you need, but if u need a larger file size have scratch extend it to fifteen. that way the lag is controlled and the file size can be big for those with big projects.

generally, large projects are because of music. If your only going to use 10 seconds of a 2 minute music track, then cut it down in something like audicity. If its that big without large music files, then u must have a REALLY bad scripting habit. Im amazed the limit is 10 meg, id atually thought it was smaller, as so many projects that havent really had much effort put into it gets uploaded, and can crash the server.
Point im trying to make, just about no scratch project should exceed 10 meg, and if it does theres something wrong. If you want good music at small size the newgrounds audio portal has a lot of it, and its free for use.
(many people might not know this, but uploading a copyrighted song is against the law)

I am having the same problem...my project is only 55KB above the limit and I've already compressed the images/sounds and removed some things not necessary to the project. I am stuck having either to remove vital parts of the project or not upload. PLEASE RAISE THE SIZE LIMIT!

Massive Necro. Anyway, I'm sure you can delete something.

The 10 megabyte limit is due to Java's capabilities - I don't think they would be able to make it any bigger. But in Scratch 2.0, with Flash they'll probably raise the limit.
If it's just 55 kilobytes, you'll probably be able to trim a tiny bit of stuff and keep the majority of the project. Or you could remove some sounds or music that aren't very necessary.

Problem is, you set a limit, people will always end up slightly above it while aiming for it.
