Rock'n A-Loud!

Hey Stratchers,
I just wanted to show everyone my new and lastest project! It's called Rock'n A-Loud. To make the game more interesting I added difficulty settings and a song selection!

I hope to get this project on the front page.... I works literally hours non-stop trying to finish it.

please check it out at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/techy/359117 .

Please click love it if you like it and please give me feedback...

Re: Rock'n A-Loud!

I've tried it and it's a very nice game, good job.  smile

Some suggestions you could try to use:

-The notes should be more in-sync with the songs. The best way to do this is to use the
[blocks]<play note(  )for(  )secs>[/blocks] block, using [blocks]<set instrument to( [/blocks] first, instead of using MP3 music. Or you could open the MP3 with Audacity (Google it, it's free) and look where the notes are. (another useful way to do it could be using the editor included with a free game called Frets on Fire, then put the notes referencing the chart you made on it. Google the game too.)

-Give the notes different colors, so you can identify them better when you have to hit them, and because all notes grey looks a bit too dull  sad

Whew, that was long. I hope it was useful.  smile

Re: Rock'n A-Loud!

The thing is that if a make the notes and the song in sync I would have to make the timeing for the notes different for each song and level.. so that would be 20 different note timings...

If all the songs have a similar beat/tempo (I haven't heard them all), then reduce it to 4 note timings, one for each difficulcity, or even just 2, one for Easy and Medium, and the other for Hard and Insane.
