Guitar Hero Game?

Hi, I'm doing a project for my IT class, and it involves Scratch.  We have to make a game, and I was thinking about doing a Guitar Hero style one.  Does anyone know how exactly I can make those?  I've seen it on the site, but I don't want to plagarize anyone's work.  Thank you, any tips or a tutorial would be appreciated.

Re: Guitar Hero Game?

It depends, do you want the notes to match up to the song, or just come down at random? For the notes to match up, it takes a lot of work and no one's actually made one with a full song (I think there's only one on the site), so that isn't easy, especially if you're new to scratch. The other way, where the notes come down at random, is much easier to make and they get popular really fast, probably because you never know what notes are going to come down.

On scratch, you're allowed to use anyone's code, so you're not plagiarizing anyone's work if you take it, but you should give credit.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Guitar Hero Game?

I made a guitar hero like game in scratch will full songs.

You can look at the codes if you want. I don't really recommend making a music project because sound tends to cause drastic lag in scratch.

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !
