Using Scratch Offline

I teach in a school where the IT director will not allow programming courses to be taught on networked machines.  Will I be able to run the program from a CD and what can I expect as far as limitations?
Thanks.

Re: Using Scratch Offline

It can be installed on a non networked machne and run just fine.  The only difficulty with running it from a CD-ROM would be the inability to save projects to the default directories.

An alternative is to install it onto USB memory sticks - see if you can get a cheap "job lot".  Probably wouldn't need to be too big either.
