Video feature in Scratch

Hi guys,

I am wondering if any of you was ever interested to use video in their projects.

Does it matter to you that scratch does not have Video feature?

Why do you think so?

Also, if Scratch comes up with a video feature, how will you use it in your projects? If you don't like the video feature idea, please say why.

I am just trying to find out if there are ways that we could implement video within scratch and if users will like the idea at all?

Thank you,

Talieh

Re: Video feature in Scratch

I see where you're going with that, but I don't think too many people would use it. There aren't many projects I can think of that would. But if you want a way around it, there's a way to convert a video to a GIF... I don't know how, google might have it though. Then import the GIF into scratch and the sound as an mp3, and play the video like an animation.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Video feature in Scratch

I am a new user and one of the first things I looked for is a way to import videos into Scratch.  I think it would be a great feature.

Re: Video feature in Scratch

Hmmm.. For short things I would use animated GIF. For long things i would use video.
