Scratch 2.0 will be released on May 9

At long last, we're ready to release Scratch 2.0!  It will take a while to update everything, so both the old and new Scratch websites will be closed for 3 days, on May 6, 7, 8 . On May 9, beta.scratch.mit.edu will become scratch.mit.edu.  So we’ll see you on scratch.mit.edu on May 9!

Yes! First reply on an announcement! Although I already saw this on the 2.0 site.

I'm happy! But sad. I would really like it if you kept some features, like the old bitmap editor. (The new one doesn't work very well)

What is it about the bitmap editor that doesn't work well? It's better to fully describe what you find difficult to us in the 2.0 editor so that we know what to fix later on.

Well, I'll miss the old site, but the 2.0 site grew on me..though I hated it at first.....Oh the nostalgia......I just want to remind everyone and anyone who does not like 2.0: Give the site a chance, you might grow to like it!

Are the forums going to be COMPLETELY reset on May 9? Will all the posts made during the Alpha and Beta still be there come May 9?
