Bookworm Studios: REBOOT

http://i49.tinypic.com/2zxqfy0.jpg

•Welcome To The Bookworm Studios: REBOOT!•

Bookworm Studios was the original young authors collab on scratch.
It was created by humhumgames to create books on the scratch website, fully illustrated and edited.

Do you like writing?
Bookworm Studios runs multiple threads for young authors.

http://i49.tinypic.com/2zxqfy0.jpg

You can write a chapter for the chapter-by-chapter book here. It is run by whisperfur and it explains itself.

http://i45.tinypic.com/2rqeukw.png

There are multiple competitions run by Mintfang here.
Some of these are writingy, some of these are arty. There is sure to be a competition to suit what you want to do!

http://i46.tinypic.com/11h6nas.jpg

Bookworm Studios also has a library on the forums run by cheeseater here.
There is also a scratch project based ebooks gallery here.
There are monthly judgings of the best ebooks in the gallery. Winners of the competitions also get into the forum library and the forum library keeps a record of the chapter-by-chapter stories.

http://oi49.tinypic.com/o0ntw7.jpg

You do not need to be a member of bookworm studios to use these
threads, but you do need an account if you want to have your writings in the forum library or have your ebooks in the gallery.
http://i49.tinypic.com/2zxqfy0.jpg

This thread is to help scratchers create their own scratch ebooks and get read by people on scratch.
You can join as an illustrator, a writer, or an editor. You can also join as more than one of those posts.
If you join as a writer, you can post your writings to be edited by editors. Once your editor is happy, your writing will be put in the forums library. If you want to continue, you can put your writing into a scratch project to be illustrated and put in the gallery.

Alternatively, you can get your straight off ebook edited and illustrated.
For a tutorial on scratch ebooks, ideas about them, how to make them etc., check the ebooks gallery.

http://i46.tinypic.com/11h6nas.jpg

In this thread, please stay on topic. If you want to just talk about writingy babble and that, the old topic is here.
We also support The Write To The Death Competition, Room Of Books
and PussnBoots writing Club.

do you promise to check at least twice a month and alert us if you are leaving temporarily?: Sure! If I don't though, I'll probably hide in a corner so I don't die. *Gulps loudly*
do you promise to stay active in the sub-threads and always has a writing project going when you can?:  Yup. I'm always writing.
give us an example of your writing:(whatever you're joining as, fill this out): Okey dokey!

The moon shone bright against the night sky, but it's light didn't seem to reach the ground. Orlan stood watch on a tower built into the castle wall, the wooden boards creaking under him as he scanned the landscape. Then his eyes caught something. There was something glowing, in the trees surrounding the castle. Leaning over the bar of the tower, he squinted into the darkness. Suddenly, a momentary purple flash illuminated the forest, and Orlan stumbled backwards as something flew into the air in the distance, hanging above the trees before dissipating into the air. He recognized the color of the light, and his heart raced up into his throat as he realized what he'd just seen. The symbol had been summoned, and the castle was under attack.
Ravish had returned.

Re: Bookworm Studios: REBOOT

Yay. New members. Now let's do stuff.
Hey nomo, we could keep an archive for write to the death.
We could keep a record of all the entries, naturally, with the permission of the entrant, but keeping a record would definitely be worth it.
What d'you think? It's only a matter of gettig permission then copy/pasting it into the library.  smile

Niice.
On my ebook tutorial, I did mention that it didn't necessarily have to be writing that you put in an ebook remember. I'm thinking of doing a 'useful animations sketchbook'.

Re: Bookworm Studios: REBOOT

I'm not done with my Hybrids book yet, and its on hold due to Write to DEATH and Arabian Nights and Stuff, but once I finish it we could maybe add it to the gallery? It still needs a bit of editing and cleanup crew so after I do all that it could be added hopefully?  smile
