Yeah, terrorism cannot be stopped by such simple means, people are like "Hurr durr oh there was a school shooting? BAN GUNS". That's not going to work. Personally I am not in support of that idea but that's another story. Even if you outlaw it that's not going to help anything, people will still do it, why even bother.

Actually, who's to say? There are many reasons why an alien would want to do something like that. They could want to strike panic among us so it will be easier to conquer us. They could want to kill us little by little by targeting places where there are a lot of people. There might be an intergalactic war going on and a lot of the runners were actually spies. But most importantly, what WE call an act of EVIL, THEY might call an act of EXTERMINATION!

As far as I know, everybody on the Scratch Team is safe.  Sadly, a campus policeman was shot and killed but I have not heard of any injuries to students or faculty.

Scary stuff! Sounds like MIT is going to be closed today as a result of the shooting last night.

Just to let everyone know - everyone in the ST is all ok. But our hearts go out to the family of the MIT police officer who was killed.

I don't actually think it was aliens, I was simply stating the reason that aliens might do it. I was replying to the comment above.
