Yeah - it took place during the Boston Marathon. There's a lot of news coverage of it.
Please don't jump to conclusions about who might be responsible for this tragedy - let's keep the conversation focused on the event and how we can help by spreading information.

Well there are always millions of people whose birthdays are on that exact day of any tragedy actually.

But other than that, this is horrible. This is so sad.

I didn't even realize it was this serious until I got to my nana's and saw all of the TVs were onto the news coverage. The teacher mentioned something about it, I wasn't really listening though.
Wow.

I know! Whats the point of taking innocent lives? They were just minding thier own buisness, having fun, going about thier day...
It just makes me so angry and disapointed in the world to know that we have people living on this planet that set off bombs and kill innocents.

The thing that really gets me is that it can't be stopped, and that's it's reality.
Its hard to believe, but this is the world. This is the state of our world. Every day you see some crime, some murder, some shooting, some bombing. Every. Single. Day. Its almost becoming routine now. The world has devolved somehow and its becoming an increasingly common thing.
And no one can stop it.
No matter how many activists there are, no matter how many protests are made, no matter how much word is spread, no matter how many laws are passed, the problem cannot be so simply eradicated. It will linger, it will stay, it will influence. It is a chain. One thing happens, sure enough something else will happen not too far from then. First the Aurora shooting, then Newtown, and now this. It will keep going for a while. A lot of people have trouble coming to terms with this but they cannot fight reality.
Basically what I'm saying is that it really sucks that these things happen, but that it cannot be easily stopped. Its human nature. We are more primitive and stupid than we can ever imagine.

¿who Did This?
We would all like to know - but we're just going to have to wait. I'm sure that right now there is a small army of people investigating the evidence and interviewing the witnesses. When they learn something, they will tell us. Until then, it really doesn't benefit anybody to make random guesses.

I respectfully disagree. Yes, these are violent times - but violence can be tempered and reduced. For example, consider Northern Ireland. There was a time when bombings were common place there. But whatever political or religious stresses were causing the violence were reduced through political diplomacy. It has become much more peaceful in recent times. I am not saying that our situation bears much resemblance to Northern Ireland - but I do think that violence can be reduced through peaceful means.

I would like everyone to know that I have the deepest condolences to anybody who was at or knows somebody who was at the Boston Marathon at that time. It was my track and field coach that told our team this happened, and we all just sat there in shock. I hope this never happens again. Ever.
Thank you,

Yes. I have 9 too.

Use the energy that would be used on placing blame on helping the victims. While I am sure this angers many (and rightfully so) that is most likely was the motivation behind an attack like this.
