I've recently been forming a band over in the Collaboration forums, and so far we've had quite a few people auditioning and even a couple so far already put on the roster.

Right now, while we're still in the audition stage and before we'll begin recording, we're in the process of thinking of a band name. Already a few have come across the room such as:

Sphinx
Caged Birds
Electric Breadstick
Stereotypes
The Rubber Band

...and the rest of the current band members will probably suggest some more sooner or later, but I also wanted to hear from you guys. I wanted to see what suggestions you may have for our band.

List a couple of them below, and I'll share them with the band to see what they think.

Just so you can get an idea of the image we plan to get across, we're going to be an alternative/indie rock band with experimental overtones that isn't afraid to be somewhat adventurous with its sound, meanwhile incorporating nods of the head to past styles as well.

And finally, if one of your suggestions ends up being the band name, then I'll be sure to credit you in the liner notes for both our first single and our first album (or EP, depending on how things fall into place).

Personally though I think bands names should mean something, not be something randomly suggested to you on a forum that you liked! Might as well call yourselves "Named by Children!"

I once suggested the band name of imnotbob's band and I was chosen tongue

It was 440hz

For this band, ,maybe you could use one of the following

Goo fighters
Lowcuts
Jelly babies

I really, really like all of those names. You and I got similar style. Difficult to choose a favorite but I really like Replay and 441hz.
