Hmm, I think we could add some good lyrics to it. The drums I'm about to start uploading to Dropbox, and as for the vocals, I unfortunately didn't have time to finish that this week. But I'll try to record it this week.

Meanwhile, I've been coming up with some lyrics, but I can't figure out a good chorus - do you think you guys could help? This is what I've got so far:

(Verse 1)
Standing in a field with only one sock
I've been awoken from a good dream
She slowly coaxed me in and said 'Let's talk'
But the sun shone through the windows like a laser beam

(Verse 2)
We talked of Egypt and many things
We spun the records till the grooves came loose
But then I heard the bells start to ring
Where I went from there I could not choose

(Pre-Chorus)
I felt I knew her for many years
In fact I didn't know her at all

I don't want the chorus to drag on too much, I want it to be somewhat puchy and to the point.

Cool lyrics. I'll try to incorporate them in somehow. In fact, the song could be called "Girl From the Nile", or something to that respect.

Meanwhile, just so you know, the lyrics are about an imaginary lover one makes up in their head and dreams about - the lover being basically an idolization of one's hopes, dreams, fears, memories, past, present, and possible future. At night, dreaming about the lover, you blindly believe she's real. However, in the morning, you're rudely awakened to the fact that she's non-existing, and you continue to only hope that you'll see her again the next night.

...It's uh, pretty deep stuff.

Yeah, I saw the original lyrics and then it suddenly got taken down. So you're saying you have a clean version of the song?

Hmm, I really like this one. Has a cool, bluesy crawl. I worked out a little drum thing for it, and uploading it on Dropbox right now.

Pretty good. I think I'll upload them tomorrow. 

And for 'Don't Wake Me Up', I'll cover the acoustic parts then, along with drums and vocals. I'll get most of that done over the next week or so.

That depends. If we have enough originals to fill a whole album, then we won't have to. If we could use some extra room, a cover or two wouldn't hurt.
