Sure, I'm sure I could play around with my synth and get something, and the rest of the guys would help. What exactly is the sound you want?

Well, the first level is a beach/valley/forest mix, so... see what you can come up with.

A: 5-3-x-x-x
D: 7-5-x-x-x

I'm pretty sure that's all ok. I think the acoustic guitar can be re-recorded just as All4one played it, and then we need some drums and possibly a solo. Is it decided All4one sings it? Who's the mixer? I can mix, I have access to garageband, which is better than Audacity.

Sorry for this random interruption on your otherwise nice band thread, but why would you put an F# and a B as the bass notes on the D chords?

I'm sorry, but how is it possible to play a 2 and a 7 with other stuff in the same chord?

Each chord is played separately, so during G chords you would play E string with 3rd fret and open a string.

Sorry guys, I've tried everything. Scratch won't upload it, nor will Dropbox or Mediafire. There might be a longer delay than I thought there would be for the demo. Might have to wait until the weekend. Until then, I'll just post the chords for the song while I work out uploading the demo:

Re: Probehæd - The New Scratch Band

The demo's finally out!

This is a re-recording of the demo, which is a bit hastier than the original, so I can send you the original recording if you like. But you can still get the general idea from this.

EDIT - @jji - Also, thanks a lot for your help with Dropbox. I got the hang of it now - I think the file was too large for my MB limitations, though.  tongue

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. I guess we can sort of make it sound like a Soundgarden-esque song.

Also, back on a previous question you guys asked, I can certainly sing 'Procrastination' if you like.

Re: Probehæd - The New Scratch Band

This is moving pretty quickly, but what tracks do we have so far? (also all4one, you have yet to give me your skype/gmail chat details).

1. Procrastination
2. I lost my Pick
3. Policy Concept

(random order)

So we have 3 original tracks already, we should go ahead with an album. We can discuss doing some covers over skype or gmail chat.

Re: Probehæd - The New Scratch Band

I can't get started at all. I may have subjects to write on but I can't put a song-a good one- to them to save my life.
I'm really sorry, i just don't know how to get started.  sad .
Not much of a songwriter am I  sad
I can't seem to write a song that isn't extremely insulting for some reason. I tried three times but I couldn't make it tame or not dirty. Nothing that I could post here anyway.
If I come up with backings, someone else could fit lyrics I suppose, but don't trust me with lyrics for all our sakes.

I'll make some patterns. Pwetty wons! Okay, seriously though, I'll make patterns and you guys can lyric me. After yet another failed attempt, ending in something that would insult anyone who just happens to be a human being, I have come to the conclusion that poetry skills may be useful, but when combined with a pessimistic sense of political awareness, you just end up with 'the swear words song' and you don't want to know what else.

All right, that's fine. Just write some music for now and we'll accompany some lyrics with it.  smile

@jji - I don't have a Skype membership right now so I can't give you my username as of yet, but I'll send it soon enough.

I'm getting a pattern, it may not be the right genre entirely, just an interesting twist, but hopefully not a big enough one to make it rubbish.
I'll get it into a good format and give it some structure. You might want to add guitar parts and probably synth. But I'll finish it first and get it onto scratch.

I've never actually owned or played a plugged solidbody, but compared with steel string acoustics, it's much easier to play (not only low action, something else as well), awesome sustain, and really really easy bending. I can get like 5 semitones of bend with the effort it would take to do 2 frets on acoustic. Pickups are really versatile, warm tones, I can go from jazzy/bluesy tones to hard rock crunches  tongue

Heavy though.
