i know how to change backround but i want to know how to do it automatically while the character is moving sideways ! i dont know how to explain its like... never mind just if you look lets say on the super mario minecraft project u will c the backround moving along to the next not like on the block where u put change backround to - well if u c the backround on super mario minecraft u will c wat i meen :P if this is easy and i am just being strange by not knowing this pl dont say thats easy cos i am new :)))

If you mean to have backgrounds scroll past, not switch instantaneusly, you aren't going to use the background, but sprites that scroll past.
You might as well check out the project that Sellout linked, so you can get an idea of how to do it.
