Can't Set my Timezone

When I try to set my timezone in my profile (GMT) it just goes back to -5 EST. Don't know why. It's annoying that the times are wrong.

It's contest time!

Re: Can't Set my Timezone

It's a known bug. So much so that EST has become known as Scratch Time.

I think it'll be fixed in 2.0.

Actually, I just found a post by cheddargirl saying the exact same thing:

I live in England therefore need the GMT time and it's currently on -05 EST. Whenever I change it and submit the changes it goes back to -05 EST. Help me!

Oh, that's been a long time glitch that is super hard to fix. The forum time is always gonna be stuck on the timezone that MIT is located (affectionately called Scratch Time here on the website)

It might get fixed when Scratch 2.0 comes out, though.

This is, like, the 5th topic about this. There's actually a sticky about this (although it's closed).
