Coca Cola was originally a tonic - and the name is because it used to contain cocaine.

Pepsi was also designed as a medicine - but people liked the taste so much that the medicinal stuff was taken out and was advertised as a soft drink.

So you know - great minds think alike.

Re: Trivia/Did you know?

The people in the international space station aren't weightless because there's no gravity; it's because they are essentially constantly falling, like in a plane that's diving down. Except they're going forward very quickly as they're falling, so they orbit the earth. In fact, at that altitude, gravity is only about 10% weaker than here on the surface.

The string on boxes of animal crackers was originally placed there so the container could be hung from a Christmas tree. ^^

Actually they stopped putting cocaine into their drinks a few years ago, and even before, the amount was so small it was insignificant.

No wonder Coke was so addictive to me.

Seriously, I had 3 Diet Coke bottles today.

A fully loaded supertanker traveling at normal speed takes at least twenty minutes to stop.

Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys became friends with Charles Manson and allowed the Manson Family to live at his house for a time (and the Beach Boys even recorded and released one of Manson's songs).

And that Leonardo Da Vinci's last name Da Vinci was literally translated from Italian , of Vinci, his hometown. His father did not have a last name.

He didn't have a last name because he was an illegitimate child as he was born of unmarried parents (his father and a peasant woman). Also, Watson was already on Jeopardy?

Some people know this, but.....

Shrek was originally a book. Actully, i have read the book, and it's REALLY different from the movie.

Shrek 1 and 2 were great, but the last two weren't very good.

Re: Trivia/Did you know?

Noah's ark had a ratio of 1:6, which is the same ratio used by modern ship builders because it's incredibly stable on the water.
