Trivia/Did you know?

Post interesting facts and trivia you've read or heard here. I'm bored and have nothing better to do.

Let me start:
One guy wrote almost every pop song ever produced in the last few years. He writes songs for Maroon 5, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, and about every other pop vocal group out there.

Ok.

deadmau5 changed his producer name from Halycon221 to his well-known alias to this day when he found a dead mouse in his computer as he was changing the hard drive.

Rhydon was the first Pokemon released - and it is also the Pokemon that appears on statues throughout in the series.

Ew.

Originally, the three parts of the Triforce from the original Legend of Zelda were going to be computer chips, and the game would take place in the past and the future.

In Brazilian prison, every book you read and report on takes 4 days off your sentence. I know that I would get a significantly shorter sentence...

You would get more exposure to radiation by eating a banana than living next to a nuclear power station.

Llamas only spit at you from confusion of thinking that you are a llama.
The word 'set' has the most English definitions.
Slugs have four noses.
Your nose and ears never stop growing.
Istanbul, Turkey is the only city in the world located on two continents.
A Boeing 767 airliner is made up of 3,100,000 separate parts.
There is enough carbon in the human body to make lead for 9000 pencils.
Bulls don't charge when they see red. They are colour blind and provoked by movement.

Graphite is carbon, topazdragon is correct, lead is still used as a term to mean the substance used for marking in a pencil, which would be graphine, which is made of carbon.

Re: Trivia/Did you know?

Friction isn't what causes the red glow as a spaceship re-enters earth's atmosphere. It's the air in front of the ship being compressed and heated up, turning into plasma.

Sorry for double post (I'm still a new scratcher even though I have lots of experience) but here:

31 in octal (base 8) = 25 in decimal (base 10)
Or:
31 OCT = 25 DEC
