Help me please

When I press the green flag a white circle flashes around my scripts and nothing happens.
This is what I have.
[scratchblocks]
when gf clicked
broadcast [Start v]

What you have to do is put another script somewhere that says when i receive [v] then put the rest of that script.

I have already done this, what I mean is, The scripts should work but when I press the green flag nothing happens
