This topic is basically about animated films that have dark moments or scenes, or animated films that are just overall dark. This can include kids' films and non-kids' films.
When stating your opinion, please be mature, don't be all "yo man that scene like scarred me fo life yo".
Anyways, I must say the darkest and most disturbing animated film I have seen is Watership Down. It's a great film, don't get me wrong, and it's also a great book too, but jeez it's dark and definitely for a more mature audience.
Another one is The Plague Dogs, which is also an adaptation of one of the other books written by the author of Watership Down. Plague Dogs is dark, and it's very very depressing, too, I'm 13 and I actually did get a bit teary-eyed (no I wasn't going "boo hoo hoo", I was doing what Nostalgia Critic refers to as the "sexy cry").
Also, people, Toy Story 3 is by no means a "dark film". It is actually very light hearted and that's what's good about it. That incinerator scene does not justify it as "dark".

No the book had the same ending originally, but then they added an "addendum" to tone it down and make it a happier ending.

Felidae. 'Nuff said.

Paranorman or *shudders* The Corpse Bride.
Paranorman has alot of great messages and morals, The Corpse Bride's DVD cover scares me to this day (samid will kill me now).

Was Felidae even meant for kids in the first place?
Anyways I haven't seen it but have heard a lot about it, it's supposed to be really violent...

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of Disney's darker films. Frollo kills the mother of Quasimodo and tries to drown him as an infant. That happens in just a few minutes into the movie.
Not to mention Frollo's creepy obsession with Esmeralda...

Finding Nemo's another one. It looks so innocent, but it's pretty dark

...no
Compared to all the other things we're listing it's very very light hearted.
You're comparing Finding Nemo to Felidae, The Plague Dogs, Watership Down, Coraline, Corpse Bride.
Kinda unreasonable.
I don't see how it qualifies as a dark film, honestly, you have to have a very immature mind to think it is "dark". Just watch any of the other films I just listed. Finding Nemo has an incredibly good message and theme and plays out this moral very inventively, not darkly.
Also, Animeboy, not everything is all rainbows and ponies and sunshine, most forms of media nowadays will involve violence in some way or another.

The opening scene is as far as I can tell the only dark scene in the movie.

And the part where they're being chased by bloodthirsty sharks and then when they are trying to get some goggles from an anglerfish -
That was actually pretty bad.

I thought Coraline was a little dark.... but it is one of my favorite movies. I think a few of the Disney films could be perceived as dark as well. Maybe Aladdin, not really, but a little bit due to the fact that Jasmine and her father become slaves, some guy gets eaten, and the fact that Aladdin was close to being killed for his crimes. Not that dark, but a bit dark by Disney standards.
Pocahontas was a little dark and so was Mulan, but not really, only by Disney standards. Lots of older cartoons are darker... now most cartoons are all light and fluffy.... Oh, and Brave was a teeny bit dark as well.

Of the things you listed I can only agree with Coraline.
Nonetheless, Coraline is an amazing film, while frightening enough, it's still pretty darn awesome, I saw it in the theater, my life was never the same.

Wasn't Finding Nemo one of those G-rated movies with a "Some scenes may be intense for small children" warning (due to death/murder found in nature)?
