I think I would, too. FTP has a snide, rhetorical wit in their music that fun. doesn't really have. I think if fun. had that sense of tongue-in-cheek sardonicism in their music, it would really benefit, but they're still all right.

Meh, Fun.'s ok. If I had to choose my favorite songs, it would be Some Nights and We Are Young. :3

Besides fun., there was Gotye, Mumford and Sons, Imagine Dragons, The Lumineers, Ed Sheeran - I'm not saying they're particularly great, but I think it shows signs of change in the pop scene. Where that will lead to, I don't know. Maybe this will build up into the emergence of one solitary band/artist that will revolutionize pop music as we know it, and change things up, for better or for worse.

Out of a lot of that, I've found the regular pop/rap artists more listenable than a lot of that stuff 

Really? I didn't realize you disliked it that much. Well, I agree there's certainly much better indie out there that goes widely unnoticed, but this might just lead to better stuff.

Yeah, I absolutely cannot stand most of that stuff.
I can stand the Foster the People song and the Gotye one to an extent, but besides that it's just really grating to me.

Gotye and Foster the People were like the only ones I had heard off that list and I don't like Gotye at all really.
