Move Block won't work
I just installed Scratch. I am using Win 8, I have a 6G RAM, 64 bit OS, x64 processor. When I click on the "move 10" block after dragging it into the script, the cat takes only one step. Other blocks like turn and sound seem to be working.

Well, a step in Scratch is 1 pixel, so it might be that you're just mistaking 10 steps as 1. Now, when you click on the block, does Scratch move 1 pixel or about 10?

The move block only signifies how many pixels to move in a certain direction. You must set ups series of move blocks and sprite animations to have animated and visible steps.
