How to Use the 'Mod' Block?

Can someone tell me how to use the mod block, because I have no clue as to what it is beside that it's a mathematical function.

Mod, or modulus.

((5) mod (3))
returns two.  5/3 = 1 R 2, if you remember your early division in primary school.  It returns the remainder.

Mod stands for modulo and means remainder. It reports the remainder of when the first number is divided by the second.
