I am a Youth Services Librarian and will be doing my first Scratch group to get teens interested in this awesome program. Are there are any projects that are really impressive and that would be great to get teens interested in creating their own? I'm looking for something with reasonably good graphics (just enough so they don't complain about how it's not 3d) and interesting gameplay (side scrollers, fighting, rpg). Thanks for any info you may be able to provide.

Well this sounds like a noble idea! I really seems nice.
Anyway, here are two ideas that I think that you could use:
StarHawk: Reborn
A light space game with upbeat music.
THE MORON TEST Scratch'd
A great remix of the "Moron Test" series.
Plants
A nice little platformer with great graphics.
Well I hope that this helps! Also, good luck with your plans!
With respects,
