Thanks for the feedback. No, I'm not arguing; I've not blown up or anything. It's just time it was addressed (its happened three times already).

And I don't think it's the microphone giving issues. The mic itself is very good (Shure SM58 - I use a Behringer too on and off). If at all, it's the mixer through which it is plugged giving a whirring sound, so it's not gonna be sensible to buy a mic just for that. I dunno; most of the feedback on the vocals and its quality have been positive, but I will take your comment into account. The only thing I can suggest is that maybe you lower the volume a bit when listening as it is mixed way louder than any of the other tracks I have mixed.
