Announcement:

Since this has been a success, I've finally decided to transfer this shop over to the original Idea Shop and close this one. The transition will not occur rapidly, so expect this thread to be open for awhile more.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may be wondering, Why are you opening another Idea Shop, and why is it in Beta? I thought that was only for games. Well, earlier, I had decided to expand the Idea Shop to let more people in, except I'm not entirely sure how that'll go, or if it'll be a success or failure, so I'm opening a Beta Idea Shop to see what happens. Although this is in Beta, you can still order away, ask to join, or even give suggestions. Now that you've read that, go enjoy yourself!
Order form:
# of ideas: 1-6
Ideas on: (ex. A new game, improving a game, names, ect..)
Description:
Anything else:
Completed Orders:
EdgeGamer (13)
Ideas (6)
Ideas given away:
19!
+ means that the order is still being worked on.
Remember, if you need any ideas, just ask away! Ideas will be delivered to you by the end of the day, unless said otherwise. Also, if you didn't get exactly what you wanted, say what you didn't like, and we'll revise our ideas for your needs. Finally, if you're using an idea that I've already given to someone, you might want to check with them first to make sure that they aren't using it.  wink
Anyway, credit for ideas is appreciated!
{Needed Suggestions}
Currently, as you see, this shop is in Beta, and therefore I would appreciate any ideas, though there are some that I would like more then others. Here they are:
{Become a Member}
Hello scratcher! If you're here, then undoubtedly want to become a member. Well, seeing what I've seen of the forums, I can't let everyone in, though if you try hard, you'll get in. ;)
So, what you need to do to join is first say that you want to join. Then, either me or CAA14 will ask you for two ideas. Simple right? Well it is. :)
Now, once you give them, we'll give you some feedback so that you can improve, and then we'll tell you if you're in or not. You can always reapply. ;)
Anyway, if you'd like to do better on your ideas, here's an articles on ideas in general:
Article... *With Link*
Oh, and you probably already know not to do anything bad, but make sure to follow these rules:
{Survey}
If you ever have the time, it'd be wonderful if you could fill this survey out.  wink
Survey:
Do you have any suggestions?
In what direction do you think we're heading? Good or bad?
How do you like the layout so far? Is it disorganized and fowl, or neat and respectable?
Is there some way that I could make this more inviting and friendly, or is it good enough?
Overall, how do you find things?
Thanks for your time!
Well, yes, seeing as there aren't any requirements as of yet. And yes, you're free to help.  smile
Anyway, right now, I'm trying to think of the requirements needed to join. When I say this, I don't mean that you have to be 13 or something like this, though that you need to give some sample ideas so that I can make sure that you're not just going to give ideas like this:
No one wrote:
Luigi went to the toilet. He farted. Then a bagel jumped into the air, counted to infinity, and farted all at the same time.
What I was thinking of more specifically was that you'd first have to give me two ideas, then I'd give some feedback. Then I'd ask for two more ideas from you, and if you're doing a good job, or improved, then you're in. What do you think? Do you have a better alternative?
I hope NO ONE WROTE THAT!!!!
And no, i would NEVER right anything like that. I am a very conservative person, so i am clear on that one.  smile
I am pretty much a creative person, that gets inspiration all of the sudden usually(Like last night, lying in bed  tongue .)
Here's my latest example and one i think would fill that order:
- A game were there's 2 fish, a red type and a blue type.
When the game begins, if you aren't clicking, the blue fish chases you, and if you are, the red one does. Every, oh, 5 second another fish is put on the screen, that is either red or blue. Once a fish touches your mouse, it's game over.
OPTIONAL GAME MODES:
- You can have a "Three hits and you're out" mode.
- A mode that the fish don't chase you, but every 5 seconds 2 more fish are added.
Well, what do you think?
For requirements, i think the following is good:
- No crude humor.
- No vulgar stuff.
- No gore/Severe violence.
- No profanity.
- No copying other peoples ideas. (Inspiration is good, but copying is not).
What do you think?
Strange as it may seem, I have seen ideas like that before, which is why I'm thinking about the requirements that I am right now.
And no, i would NEVER right anything like that. I am a very conservative person, so i am clear on that one.  smile
Of course, that one was obvious. I've known you long enough to know that you can give quality ideas.  smile
I am pretty much a creative person, that gets inspiration all of the sudden usually(Like last night, lying in bed  tongue .)
Well that's always a good thing. I don't come up with idea spontaneously, though I can still get them easily.
Well, what do you think?
Well that's a nice idea! Challenging and fun to play! I also like the twist that you've put in there because I've seen games somewhat similar to this, and the twist would make this unique, which is always good.
Oh my word, that's awful, and hardly creative i might add.
Well, what you wrote made me rethink that and I thought that it would've been a nice add-on. Anyway, now that that's done with, what do you think about the idea where we have people give us ideas before joining? This way I (and eventually you) could give feedback so that they could improve their ideas. Or, we could just let them join if they ask and have a few articles about making and forming ideas. What do you say?
What requirements did you think i wouldn't pass?
None, which is the other reason why your in right now.
Okay, it just seemed like you were saying that the only reason i was in is because there were no requirements, but i know you,re not saying that now.  smile
Well, there won't be much traffic seeing as the Idea Shop started off pretty quite at first, so for these first few days, you don't have to, but if you want to, you can.
(My comments are above again ^^. Oh, and seeing as this is getting a bit long, do you mind if you start up where I left off on a new post?)
One last thing; do you know how you always end a post with "Regards, CAA14"? Well I'd like to start doing that, so I'd like to make sure it's okay with you first. So is it?
CAA14, one last thing; earlier someone had come up with the idea of making an "Idea Base", which would basically be a collection of ideas free for anyone to use. Do you think that it'd be best to do that as an extension of the Idea Shop or have it as its own thread?
Hmmm.... Well, lets take a look at the pros and cons of putting it in it's own thread:
Pros:
- As long as it is b.u.m.p. ed a lot, it would be clear and easy to find.
- There would be no problems with "Hey, they gave that idea to me!".
- You wouldn't(Or shouldn't,) be bothered as much because it would be(As far as i am understanding,) a "grab-and-go" setup.
Cons:
- It would be another thread to keep up with.
- If it is a "grab-and-go" set up, then there may be several projects made because of it that are almost the same.
- It could draw attention and usage away from the shop.
Those are the points i can think of right now, so i would say... I don't know. For organizational purposes, it makes more sense to put it in an entirely different thread.
From a "business" perspective(Not really a business, but talking about the usage of the shop,) it makes more since to include it in the shop's front page.
Your choice.  smile
CAA14, one last thing; earlier someone had come up with the idea of making an "Idea Base", which would basically be a collection of ideas free for anyone to use. Do you think that it'd be best to do that as an extension of the Idea Shop or have it as its own thread?
Hmmm.... Well, lets take a look at the pros and cons of putting it in it's own thread:
Pros:
- As long as it is b.u.m.p. ed a lot, it would be clear and easy to find.
- There would be no problems with "Hey, they gave that idea to me!".
- You wouldn't(Or shouldn't,) be bothered as much because it would be(As far as i am understanding,) a "grab-and-go" setup.
Cons:
- It would be another thread to keep up with.
- If it is a "grab-and-go" set up, then there may be several projects made because of it that are almost the same.
- It could draw attention and usage away from the shop.
Those are the points i can think of right now, so i would say... I don't know. For organizational purposes, it makes more sense to put it in an entirely different thread.
From a "business" perspective(Not really a business, but talking about the usage of the shop,) it makes more since to include it in the shop's front page.
Your choice.  smile
Good points. Some other things that I can think of is that if some chance the ST wants the sticky it (which happened with my Shop Directory), then they can't sticky my shop, but they could sticky an independent thread. Also, I already have a section for Sample Ideas, which I could easily turn into a free "Idea Database" I'd probably have to say that I"ll make it a separate section. Anyway, did you see my other post?
