Background number issue

The background costume numbers keep changing by themselves so they don't match the ones entered in the scripts. When I attempt to change them back to the original numbers they get high and higher. Can you tell me how to stop this happening?

Re: Background number issue

If you have numbers in your costume names, they automatically get bigger if you type any number as the new costume name...

Re: Background number issue

Well, the numbering system sets the number [at the end of a costume name] to 1+ the highest one already used, even if the number you typed in it's place isn't being used. It may seem like there's no way to avoid this, though there is a way to circumvent (get around) this issue. What you'll have to do is rename each costume to something like "ty", and then rename each one to whatever you want, starting with the one with the lowest number at the end. Then, you should be done!

I hope that this helps! Also, hello Genius158 and welcome to Scratch! I wish you a great, nice time here!
