Well, thank you! I am i guess a pretty good concept/storyline artist, but my art needs MAJOR work, though my scripting is getting better.
And yes, we can wait to make the actual game of Tribez, but i can put together our logo, and the start screen, i just need Someone to make some graphics. Put me under "intro and logo" task, please, leader(funnymee)(To know what i am talking about, please read the entire post. ).
One of the 3(so far, just give me a day for number 4 ) ideas i have does not require 2.0, so PLEASE post if you want me to list it and the other ideas.
I'm not yet ready to work on the major components of Tribez or any other project until i am finished with my current project, but i should finish it soon.
Organization Suggestions:
I think funnymee323, as the leader, should maintain the first post like this:
You may want to put in the headline post :"TO ALL MEMBERS: If you have an idea, post it so i can put it on this "Ideas so far" paragraph. " If that statement is true, of course.
I think there should be three things updated on the first post:
1. Members - Already there
2. Ideas - Already there, but we need to put which one we are currently working one and have the member's name who made it up after it.
3. TO DO list - This would have a project name and then the tasks listed under it, with the member assigned to it with it's name in "()" in front of the task, like, "(CAA14)". If there's not yet a volunteer, then put "(volunteer)" or some thing like that.
funnymee323 must approve any task or project, or just the projects and then the member that made up the idea approve the tasks within his/her project. funnymee323's choice.
If we do this, i think the Northern Lights will be organized and a happy place to scratch! And, members will automatically know what tasks they can do. Organization is key.

Sorry funnymee, i won't do it again. I responded because i was the one who invited iaoumeur to look at this post.
Okay, here's the details of "Tribez":
You get more civilian count by claiming or conquering land.
You get more military by turning civilians into soldiers. (would be a button) You can also disband military for more civs.
- Military takes about 2 Food and 2 water a second.
- Civilians take about 1 Food and 2 water a second, and gather 3 food and 2 water a second.
Controls:
Pretty much just the left mouse button and a deselect button.
Graphics:
There will be little graphics,
We need:
- A few different soldier graphics. Their animation will be just walking and a simple attack animation(swing the tomahawk up and down). Unless one of us is a good animator and wishes to make more complex animation.(I'm not!) The player will choose which soldier graphic they want for their tribe.
-The soldier will have the players "symbol" above their head, and also a number.
Because the soldier will represent one army, not an individual soldier. The number is how many military numbers is in it.
- A lot of different kinds of "Tepees" or "Huts", that the player will choose their style.
- Either a VERY large map or several small maps that the player can navigate through.
- The map(s) need streams, and some crops surrounding all the territories. The streams will give like 5 water a second, and each civilian will take about 1 food a second, and give 3. We can make upgrades later for the player to buy with weapons or food or water to make them gather faster.
- The map(s) need an empty/unclaimed territory "hut", that when a player sends an army, it becomes theirs and bears their clan symbol.
- We need a little "Draw your symbol" thing, which i am not sure how to do. This will differentiate the player's property from their enemies.
Okay, we need to start at the top and work down.
I will make the menu, but i would like someone else to make the button graphics.
TASK:

You will probably need a different editor than the default.
Details: I would like the text to look like it was cut out of wood. (This is simply finding the right font.) I would like it to have a cream white, thick circular outline, and if you can, have the text's color to be a dark brown woody texture.
(CAA14) can find the right font, and then I'll post it.
QUESTION: Should i set up a collab account? Or do you already have one? If so, i will post all the finished parts/graphics on it, or have the person managing it favorite them.

I Need to get graphics for our logo and the Tribez logo to start making our intro, then i will use the broadcast, "start_Program".
I volunteer for making all menus once i finish my current project.
I'll also make a display engine for anyone and everyone.

And also, i think it would be good if we use the following layering system:
When gf clicked Broadcast [layer 1 v ] Broadcast [layer 2 v ] Broadcast [layer 3 v ] Etc...
When I receive [layer 1 v ] Go to front Etc...That's a good method.

Menu's include interfaces. I've never made an Interface before, but i think i can do it just fine.
So, if its ok, i claim making all menu's and interfaces for Tribez, but i need a graphics designer to make the graphics based on the Tribez logo.
I will post the ones i need as i go, we all need to discuss the basic controls and game play.

I see how the LOZSOD's collab is organized, and i think we should also be, but in our own style.
We can also separate code and graphics in our tasks, like this:
(CAA14/funnymee323) Make intro/logo.
Details: (what i said before ).
Code: (CAA14)
Graphics: (funnymee323)
That's just an example, if you don't want to do the logos that's fine.
So, i hope you like my ideas or have other ideas for organization, because if we're not organized, then we're in trouble...

Yeah I had already done that, sorry I just need to finish it off because I went to school...
