Thats not the independent I was thinking of..... I was thinking of not voting based on parties, but more on the aspects that each president has.

McCain is 75 and presidency in this economy is VERY stressful, and with an old heart like his, He would probably get a heart attack!  As said before, Cash for Clunkers helps the economy by encouraging people to buy new cars. It also helps the enviroment by getting gas guzzlers off the streets and recycling old metals and rubbers (can you recycle rubber?). It also increases the pay for car dealership employees and encourages them to spend more on miscelaneous products. Overall, I think it's a good job.

Health care, on the other hand, is just a mess cause none of the conservatives are accepting the facts that Obama will find a health care that is affordable and help all people of all ages. It just takes time!

also McCain is an old white guy, all presidents have been old white guys, Obama represented a new era and he had some very good ideas.  he was also a great public speaker which is important in a campaign.  obama had all of these things going for him and McCain had all of those things against him.

Don't you insult the confederate flag as a symbol of racism. It's a symbol of history, just like a 13-star flag, original navy jack ("don't tread on me"). And for the record, CSA president Jefferson Davis was against slavery and expected it to fade away, because less than 6% of southerners owned slaves in the first place. Abraham Leeeeeeeeeakon (yes i insulted him) was the one who proposed creating colonies in africa to send slaves back to. "HONEST" ABE WAS A RACIST. he feared social integration.
