I'm fine with him. No strong opinion. Although I would most likely prefer a Republican president.

Taxing big companies, which pass the "savings" on to us
Lowering the minimum income of families to tax. Now you only need to make a hundred and a quarter to be taxed!
On the contrary, those are good things. Isn't it reasonable to tax the rich and give more to the poor?

I dont mean it in a mean way but come on I see tons of people on welfare who cry poor mouth but yet they are wearing 5 star clothing whats more important food or expensive clothing. Its so annoying how people cry about money when they can get a job unless they are disabled. I stand by my ground when Rich who earn there money should not give it away to the capable poor. When i say capable i mean can get a job

On the other hand, vis taxing the rich, who benefits more from having a state of law enforced by a police force? The guy who has nothing worth stealing, or the guy sitting in a mansion with 6 cars in the garage?
Who benefits more from having well maintained roads and airports? The guy with the expensive car and private jet, or the guy that lost his car because, having lost his job he couldn't make the repayments?
A straight % tax doesn't accurately represent the value returned to the individuals in question.
Just somethign to think about

We might've been able get rid of poor people by not helping them, now they get an income with poor relief. There is usually a reason that a person is poor

well at least MCPAIN ISN"T PRESIDENT!!!!! then we would have had to deal with hilary, and I don't trust her, or have confidence in her abilities to be president. john mcpain is like 30 centuries old. Anyway have you heard of the term "sore losers"? The country and the majority of it's people, who know more about politics then you think he is better then john MCpain, Your going to have to live with that and try not to sulk in your corner
McPain?
It is that kind of immaturity that has flushed my respect for many democrats down the loo. Also, Hillary Clinton would not be in office if McCain was! His running mate was Sarah Palin.
Besides this, most of the scratchers saying they would prefer McCain are just voicing their opinion. Is that wrong? Of course I accept that Obama won, but I don't have to like it. And I think that making a whole forum thread on scratch due to Obama's being elected could be considered sore winning.Did you read the quote, if they were saying i would've preferred mccain I wouldn't have posted, (the mcpain stuff is when my friend started saying that because of obama's middle name, osane, that obama is a terrorist ect. ect. This topic was more to discuss the election. Also what if, mccain died, or was unable to work (he is old) plus being president must be very stressful. then palin would be president.
I respect your opinion, but Palin would be even better.
Almost as good as Bush... Oooh, now that statemant in gonna lead to another argument!
But I still think that Bush was the best president since Reagan.

to all those people who think president bush made alot of gaffes
"So I analyzed that and decided I didn't want to be the president during a depression greater than the Great Depression, or the beginning of a depression greater than the Great Depression."- president bush
"Look, when I was a kid, I inhaled frequently. That was the point." - president obama
I'll give him credit on one thing, Obama did give a more straightforward message

Lanie, When we say rich, we mean the first class. Not the middle. Far from it at that! Obama is actually trying to help the middle class, by helping them find jobs and pay off there houses until they get jobs.
ALSO, It's tough to get a job in this economy, TRUST ME! My father quit his job, underestimating how hard it is to actually get a job. He spent 5 months getting one, and became so desperate, he picked up the first job he could find in architecture and had his income cut down dramatically! We're actually trying to get a loan modification now, which is another thing.
The banks are trying to keep the cash flowing in! They WON'T, as in keep it as a last resort, remodify your loan. They will come up with some silly excuse to why they won't even do it. Atleast, thats what we're predicting.

I am tired of all these UNPROPAGANDA on the TV now, about how Obama's trying to raise taxes for the US middle/lower class, trying to get Buerocrats in charge of our health care, and our favorite, the recent racism issues.
It's bad enough calling Obama a terrorist but it's worse making him look like he's Anti-American. All those darn Republicans and Blue Dogs as well as FOX are doing is making America look like the source of all evil just because of a black president.
All I'm saying is give Obama a chance. He's just been in office only for a few months. It's not enough time to say Obama's a bad president. The only reason Obama's having to take back his promises is because of pressure of being president.
Had to get that off my chest.
