Check his account in 2.0 and see if he shared a part of it? If he forgot completely we will have to replace him though.

It's okay. YMIBANWAH, you can do the battle engine. MrMonk hasn't shared it.

Also, here is the old topic.

Re: Pokemon Apple Red Official Topic

Hi guys!

I haven't really posted here much, but I'd still like to help.

I have a lot of the Gen 1 moves animated, and I found some of them online, if you would like them.

Try this website, if you already haven't : http://www.spriters-resource.com/gameboy_advance/pokefrlg/index.html

It has a lot of the moves, you just need to be able to use the sprite sheet. Sure it takes a while to put together, but you will get it eventually.

For the effectiveness engine, for the other pokemon collab I'm in (Pokemon Land-Sea) I think we may have a solution for the effectiveness scripts, I'll share those with you after I test them to see if they work.

For a catching system, I recommend using variables, and maybe having the variables being set as pokemon. (If caught, set Pokemon party space 1= charmander) etc.

I'm not actually sure that completely works after testing it, I'll see if I can find a better way.

If you cant use the sprite sheets, if I can find time I'll see if I can find time to help you out, as I am quite bored right now  smile

Thanks! Could you upload a project with all the animations (although I would prefer Gen III)!

Awesome! I probably will tweak it a lot, I'm usually not satisfied with engines that other people made.

YMIBANWAH wrote:

You make it. Remember, the main difficulty is moves like bide, hyper beam, sky attack, etc. So in the list, for tackle, use something like 1//50//100//35//1//0//0. 1 is normal, 50 is 50 power, 100 is 100% accuracy, 35 is 35 PP, and the last 1 indicates that it is physical; 0 is special. 0 indicates that it is an "ordinary move", meaning that it is a basic attack that deals damage. The very last zero indicates that it will say, "Rattata used Tackle!" instead of "Rattata unleashed energy". Add what ever is necessary. For un-ordinary moves, use an if.

This is used to convert 1//50//100//35//1//0//0 into a list.

I hope you are able to finish it! If you can't, I'll have to make it myself.

Oh, also, use the instructions for the spriting here.

Good luck on the spriting! Give me a link when it's done.

Okay. I'll do the graphics and AI. Just make sure it works. Then I'll expand it.

Oh that's good for the actual game, but the version out to the ppublic some people think -6 means do 6 damage.
