INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to Scratch RHG Battle Nation! The one and only extensive RHG battling club on Scratch. Here you will test your skills as an animator on Scratch and battle rivals for supremacy. The goal of this competition is to create cool looking animations and show them off to the Scratch community and rack up Likes. The team with the most Likes wins the contest. The deadline for this competition will be announced after a sufficient amount of participants have joined.


WHAT ARE CLANS?

Clans are the different groups of participants in this contest. The amount of members in a clan will vary from each one. The object of this competition is for the many clans to challenge and battle each other. They do this by posting an animation project on the Scratch website showing how they destroyed the enemy. The leader of a clan will decide what challenges he wants his/her group to participate in. In order to challenge a rival clan, you must make them aware of it by posting a "Challenge" message on their clan thread. Clan leaders do not have to accept every challenge, but they CANNOT deny everyone. They MUST participate in a couple of battle. If a challenge is accepted, a full out clan war commences! Before the battle, the clan leader will choose 3 participants (counting themselves if they decide to join) to partake in the clan battle. Clan leaders: be fair. DO NOT choose the same three participants every time. Give everyone an equal chance. When a clan posts its animation project for a challenge, the Scratch community will rate them. The project with the most Likes earns a victory for its clan. The winning clan then gets to decide one member from the opposing clan to switch to their side. If both animations have an equal amount of Likes, the challenge is a stalemate and no one wins.


HOW DO I JOIN A CLAN?

To join a clan, you go to the home thread of the clan you wish to join and then post your Sign Up information. The clan leader will then decide to accept or reject your membership depending on your Sign Up information (so make it good!). Clan leaders: DO NOT be rude and reject a majority of those who wish to join your clan. Show some courtesy

RHG CONTEST RULES

1. You cannot Like one of your own animations.
2. You cannot repost a previous animation you have made in the past.
3. Be kind and courteous to other participants, even if they are in a rival clan.
4. Do not comment a put-down on an opponent's animation.
5. Some blood is allowed in your animations. Try not to make it too violent though. If any animation is deemed too violent by a member of the Scratch community, a rival clan, your clan, the Scratch moderators or me, the project will not count.
6. Most importantly, have fun! It is healthy to have a friendly competition once in a while.


TIPS FOR CLAN LEADERS

1. Spread word about your clan so you have a higher chance of members joining.
2. Post clan announcements/events on your clan thread to let your members know.
3. Maximum clan size is 25 people. No more. Minimum is 6 people.
