beny, a new version of Scratch will be created. We are also planning to have new collections of images for you to download soon.

You can also make you own images, with a seperate program. Here's the ones I use:
The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/)
Inkscape (http://www.inkscape.org/)
Ther're both free to boot! ^^

beny, although scratch provides some simple image editing tools, many people find it useful to use more powerful image-editing tools for creating sprites and backgrounds. That is what toontownmiser was talking about. Having a good collection of sprite costumes already available, particularly for animated sequences like walking, is important for beginning programmers and animators. It is also good to be able to create costumes in programs better suited to image manipulation and import them.
