A third "Interests Beyond Scratch" forum topic

For the most part, "What I'm making and creating" and "What I'm reading and playing" fits most of what used to be the Miscellanious section of Scratch. However, there is a third category that doesn't really fit into either of those topics; "What I'm thinking and dreaming."

In reality, it could be argued either way about which of the two "Interests beyond Scratch" topics it belongs in. Because Miscellanious was split to make moderation easier, creation of a third topic might also make moderation easier.

While some topics in this new forum might go against the long standing rule of no political debate in Scratch, it could also greatly benefit the community, and Scratchers, I believe, would embrace this new forum with their own ideas and creativity. Please consider my proposal, and Scratch on!

Re: A third "Interests Beyond Scratch" forum topic

Misc. was split to make moderation easier not by organizing topics more, but only allowing certain types of topics, the kinds that would be better for Scratch and enrich the community more.
That forum would be far too open ended, and would allow for many topics that really shouldn't be on Scratch, defeating the whole purpose and again putting a drain on the moderation team.
I do not support.

Re: A third "Interests Beyond Scratch" forum topic

Discussion regarding thoughts about an ideology, or an specific topic, and go in "Reading and Playing", and oneself's original ideas can be posted in "Making and Creating". A third subforum isn't necessary - the two ones we have now already cover any interest beyond Scratch.

The section's names, or even descriptions, aren't limitations, but a suggestion of what can be discussed in the forum. MaC is for anything you create (down to the very ideas), and RaP is for anything you consume (including knowledge).
