learn algorithms

Anyone recomended a good site or book or video to get my head around algorithms. learning them understanding there using them etc.

Id like some basic stuff first before I get into the deeper stuff.

MIT have a course called Introduction to Algorithms, which is also available on iTunes U.

The book Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs seems to talk a bit about algorithms, and teaches Scheme at the same time  smile  Brian Harvey certainly recommended it very enthusiastically; it's not specifically about algorithms, though.
