I just got the idea of re-creating Pokemon Black and White but as a completely Pokemon Blue/Red styled game, 8-bit and well, Black and White.
I don't know how I got this idea, but it seems interesting to know how it'll turn out. So I've decided to give this idea a try.
If you'd like to help, you can just ask below. I'll need some seasoned ROM-Hackers and spriters to help me because I'm not sure I can develop it alone and make it a complete or even close to a success.
The basic goal of it is planned to be just like the original story in Black/White, but just in an old-fashioned sort of style for all of you that are fans of Red/Blue/Yellow/Etc.

Also note that Red/Blue are much much much more difficult to modify than, for example, the GenIII games (especially because of the memory used)

Maybe you got the idea from an April Fools joke on Bulbapedia? Because they did something just like that.

No. :U I was just looking up remixes on youtube, and found a remix of a Pokemon black song, and randomly got this idea.

Black and White in black and white, eh?
Pretty much.

Seems like too ambitious of an idea, really.
The original games, as veggieman said, are way hard to modify or hack. You're better off with modifying Generation 3 or something, it's way easier.
